Inclusive Education for the Global Knowledge Economy in ASEAN: A Focus on Malaysia

Institutes on Disability and Public Policy for the ASEAN Region (IDPP), invited Anthony Chong and Lee Tur Chung to participate in the high-level multi-stakeholder roundtable on 12 August 2014 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The critical role that accessible information and communication technologies can play in enhancing the inclusive education policy environment in Malaysia and across ASEAN was discussed. The participants in the multi-stakeholder are from government, academia, private sector and civil society.

Roundtable with Ms Carina Klein

It was a small roundtable discussion with the visiting US State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor official Ms. Carina Klein on Monday June 23 at the Parliament. Ms Carina is very keen on issues relating to increasing employability of persons with disabilities. We discussed about Malaysia’s experiences on this issue.
